Many stores focus on making sure a customer is wowed upon walking through the door. But as much as the fixtures, displays and signage can help a store succeed, there’s not much benefit unless people are walking through the door in the first place. While the inside of the shop needs to be consumer friendly as possible for the ultimate shopping experience, store’s need to remember the outside of their shop is the first impression, and like they say, you only get one.
Think of how often you pass the stores you shop at. Most people drive the same routes every day, including those same storefronts every time you drive by; the same strip mall with the same tired stores that are competing with the chain stores and mega-retailers. They all begin to look the same, and when everything looks the same your store isn’t getting noticed.
